Global Running Day 5K!

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Event Date: June 4, 2025
• Location: Swan Creek Preserve Metropark, Toledo, OH
• Organizers: Toledo Roadrunners Club in partnership with Metroparks Toledo

🎉 Kids Participation

• Free Entry: ALL kids 12 and under are free and should stay with guardians during the 5K.
• Kids Event: There is a FREE 1K kids only event!
• Start Time: 1K kids event starts at 6:00pm, 5K starts at 6:30pm.
• Participation: Kids should come out and enjoy the activities.

🏞️ Course Information

• Course Design: The 5K course at Swan Creek Preserve Metropark was funded and mapped by the Toledo Roadrunners Club!
• Trail Type: It is an all-purpose paved trail, great for all ages and abilities.
• Course Layout: The course consists of an upper loop (approximately 1.7 miles) with the balance being an out and back.
• Distance Options: If you don't want to run or walk the full 5K, come out and complete 1.7 miles!

💵 Registration Details

• Fees: $5.00 for Toledo Roadrunners Club members and $10.00 for non-members.
• T-shirt: $13.00 unisex cotton blend shirt add-on.
• Registration Process: Online registration only, open until the start of the event.
• Registration Prompt: During registration, you’ll be prompted to fill in "I Run ...". Let us know why you run! It is optional.

📍 Check-in Information

• Check-in Location: Mary Jane Gill shelter, south of the playground.
• Check-in Start: Check-in starts at 5:30pm.
• Parking: Use the parking lot off Airport Highway.
• Event Features: There will be a clock set up: however, there are no awards.

💧 Post-Event Amenities

• Refreshments: Water and snacks will be available at the conclusion of the event.
• Giveaways: There will also be some giveaways!
• Insurance Notice: Due to the low cost and the t-shirt being an add-on, race insurance is not offered for this event.
• Medical Support: Mercy Health – Toledo will provide onsite medical support with assistance from Nationwide Children's Hospital – Toledo athletic trainers.
