Cake by the Lake

🍰 Event Overview

• Event: The Fourth Annual Cake by the Lake 5K and One Mile Cakewalk
• Date: Saturday, April 5, 2025
• Location: Liberty Park, Inverness, FL
• Trails: Both events start on the Withlacoochee State Trail, along the beautiful shores of the Tsala Apopka chain of lakes.

🏅 Race Details

• Start Times: 5K Runners will take off at sunrise: 1-mile walkers shortly after.
• Finish Line: Participants return to Liberty Park for finisher’s medals.
• Post-Race Fun: Enjoy music, festivities, and delicious cake by the lake, along with ice cream.
• Awards: Unique cake plate age-level awards will be presented three-deep in five-year age increments for the 5K.

🎟️ Registration Information

• Kids Registration: $10 for ages up to 12 years old.
• Teens Registration: $15 for ages 13-17.
• Adult Registration: Ages 18 and older.
• Swag: Different swag for ages 17 and under, along with a heavy 3" full-color medal.

📅 Race Day Schedule

• Packet Pickup: 6:30 a.m. Race Day
• Race Starts: 7:30 a.m.
• Online Photos: Free photos available online post-race.
• Event Swag: No T-shirts, but you'll still receive delightful race swag!
