Prospect Park, Brooklyn NY, Brooklyn NY
Thursday, November 28th, 2024
One of Brooklyn’s most popular races, this spectacular 5-miler is the perfect way to kick off your holiday season! The race will be held on Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 28th in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. Like last year, we will assign participants into two waves, based on your estimated pace, starting at 8:15am and 9:00am. You may drop back to wave 2 to run with others, but you cannot move from wave 2 to wave 1. If you want to compete for an overall 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place, you must be in the first wave. Overall winners will receive a baked treat!
This year marks our third year partnering with the American Indian Community House (AICH) whose mission is to improve and promote the well-being of the American Indian Community and to increase the visibility of American Indian cultures in an urban setting in order to cultivate awareness, understanding and respect.
The course will close at precisely 10:40am in order to return the park to the public and relieve all of the volunteers. All participants are expected to complete the 5-mile course by the cutoff time.
