Scranton Half Marathon

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: The 12th edition of the Scranton Half Marathon
• Date: Sunday, April 6, 2025
• Location: Begins and ends at PenFed Credit Union Field at Memorial Stadium
• Purpose: To showcase the local area and support local businesses

⏰ Start Times

• Half Marathon Run: 8:00 AM
• Half Marathon Walk: 6:45 AM

🏃‍♀️ New Run/Walk Category

• Run/Walk Option: Select this option when registering if doing both running and walking
• Timing: Run/walkers will start at 8 AM and be timed as runners
• Cutoff: Run/walkers must adhere to the Elm Street cutoff time

⏳ Cutoff Times

• Elm Street Cutoff: Participants must reach the Elm Street trailhead (7.5 miles) by 10:15 AM
• 5K Run Cutoff: 50-minute cutoff for all participants

🌐 Virtual Participation

• Distance: Run or walk the half marathon distance anywhere from April 3 to April 6, 2025
• Submit Results: Send your time to scrantonhalfresults@gmail.com
• Cost: $55 includes bib, finisher shirt, medal, and gift
• Swag Pickup: During expo hours on April 4 and April 5

🚶‍♀️ Half Marathon Walk

• Start Time: Begins at 6:45 AM
• Awards: Overall Male and Female finishers will receive awards
• Course Safety: Walkers must remain on the sidewalks until the lead police vehicle passes
• Doherty Double: Not walk-friendly due to safety restrictions

👶 Kid's Fun Run

• 1/4 Mile Runs: Ages 5 - 6 and Ages 7 - 8
• 1/2 Mile Runs: Ages 9 - 10 and Ages 11 - 12
• Start Time: 1/4 mile runs at 8:15 AM
• Safety: All participants must clear the infield by 9 AM

• 5K Time: 3:00 PM on April 5

📦 Bib and Shirt Pickup

• Date: Friday, April 4 from 5 to 8 PM and Saturday, April 5 from 11 AM to 5 PM
• Race Expo Location: Scranton Running Company, 3 West Olive Street, Scranton, PA 18508

❤️ Charitable Giving

• Total Contributions: Over $450,000 to the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority
• Purpose: For beautification and safety projects in Scranton
