Running the Rapids Half Marathon and 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Dare to challenge yourself with the Running the Rapids Half Marathon and 5K! Wind your way through this beautiful course that runs through scenic roadways and paths of Cohasset and Grand Rapids. You will see lakes, trees, parks and everything in between. The route will first take you around beautiful Little Jay Gould lake, down a scenic trail and roadway, and finally around Horseshoe Lake on your way to the finish.

Bring some running shoes and a positive attitude to this race, and we will make sure to cheer you all the way to the finish!

• Finisher Medals: All half marathon, half marathon relay and 5K participants will receive an official medal.

📅 Events Schedule

• Half Marathon: Start time: 7:00AM. In an effort to provide the safest race experience for our participants, the race course will be supported for 3.5 hours (16:00/mile pace). Anyone remaining on the course past the time limit will be required to use the sidewalks and follow all pedestrian/traffic laws.
• Half Marathon Relay: Start time: 7:00AM. The relay consists of TWO runners, with the first runner starting at Portage Park and the second runner transported to the exchange zone. More info on time limits applies as mentioned above.
• 5K: Start time: 7:30AM

📍 Location & Details

• Start and Finish: All races will start and finish at Portage Park, 25570 Katherine Ave, Cohasset, MN 55721.
• Timing: All races will be chip-timed.
• Headphones: Headphones are permitted to be worn by participants.
• Strollers: Strollers will not be permitted on the race course.
