About Ann Marie McGhee

Every now and then, someone enters the world and leaves it brighter. Ann Marie McGhee was one of those rare souls. A passionate educator, loving friend, and tireless advocate for every child, Mrs. McGhee had a gift for making everyone feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

• Inspiration: She didn’t just teach—she inspired.
• Legacy: Her impact lives on in the lives of her students, colleagues, and the community she served so faithfully at Horse Creek Academy.

Scholarships & Legacy Awards

To continue her legacy, the Foundation awards an annual $1,000 scholarship to a deserving high school senior who reflects Ann Marie’s values:

In addition, the Ann Marie McGhee Award is presented each year to a fifth-grade student at Horse Creek Academy who exemplifies traits Ann Marie held dear—kindness, dedication, helpfulness, curiosity, and school pride.
