Run the Pier Running Festival

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Event Name: Run the Pier (RTP5K)

🏅 Race Details

• Course: The race takes participants out and onto Manistee’s north pier and around its iconic lighthouse as part of a 5K and 10K.
• Challenges: For runners who wish to have a bit more of a challenge, options for a 1/2 marathon and Full Marathon are available.
• Awards: There will be 500 total finisher awards, so run fast.
• Swag: An Official Running festival T-shirt for each participant will be included as part of your registration along with additional swag items TBD.

🏞️ Scenic Routes

• Full Marathon: Races take the athletes on a beautiful winding run along scenic lakeshore drive.
• Half Marathon: The Half Marathon route is undergoing changes.
• Updates: All Routes will be posted on our website and added to the participant newsletter once finalized.
• Attendee Info: Annual participation brings 500 plus athletes to Manistee from out of town.

🍻 Post-Race Celebration

• Post Race Beverages: Adult beverages (Beer) will be available.
• Charity Support: Proceeds from the sale going directly to Stomp out Cancer of Manistee.

🤝 Foundation Background

• Establishment: RTP5K was founded in 2018 as a method of raising funds for local non-profits.
• Operational Changes: In 2021, the non-profit Run the Pier Foundation was dissolved, and operational responsibility was placed in the hands of NOMI.
• Commitment: NOMI remains committed to the mission established by the original roots of RTP5K.
• Legacy: Elements of the original foundation remain involved with the race and establishing the annual beneficiary.
