Midnight Special 5K

🎉 Race Overview

A Northwestern Ohio New Year's Eve Tradition! Run in the New Year with a race that takes "Two Years to Finish!" (unless you run faster than 15:00 Minutes, then it only takes one year!) A 5K race that starts on New Year's Eve at 11:45 PM.

📍 Location

• Venue: Patron Saints Brewery.
• Course: Out and back along the University Parks Trail.
• Parking: Starting in the back parking lot of Patron Saints, vehicles may be present.
• Lighting: The course is not lit: please wear lights. Small ground lights will indicate course direction.

💲 Cost & Registration

• Entry Fee: 5K ~ $40, TRRC Members receive a $5.00 discount at checkout.
• Price Increase: $5 Price increase on December 23, 2024.
• Awards: Overall Male & Female, Masters Male & Female, Grand Master Male & Female: no age group awards.
• Extras: First 150 finishers receive a pint glass.

👕 Hoodie & Timing

• Guaranteed Hoodie deadline: December 12, 2024, unisex sizes small - XXlarge.
• Timing: This is a chip-timed event.
• Water Stops: There will be no water stops on the course.
• Post-Race: Water and snacks provided at the finish along with other goodies.

🕒 Packet Pickup

• Early Packet Pickup: Date TBD at Second Sole, Levis Commons, Perrysburg.
• Race Day Pickup: Starts at 10:30 PM and closes at 11:30 PM.
• Registration: Online registration only: closes December 31, 2024, at 11:45 PM.
• Payment: Contact the race director for check payment arrangements at midnightspecial5k@toledoroadrunners.org.

🍻 Post-Race Fun

Feel free to bring your own food and hang out afterwards. Adult beverages will be available for purchase from Patron Saints. ID required. For those under 21, Patron Saints has homemade root beer for purchase.
