High Country Turkey Trot 5k & 10k

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Date: 2025-11-27
• Location: Clawson-Burnley Park, Boone, NC
• Race Options: Choose from a 5k or 10k timed trail race or an untimed 5k Fun Run/Walk.
• Scenic Route: Trails through the woods via The Greenway and Kennedy Trails for timed races: paved paths for Fun Run/Walk.

• Prizes: Awards for Top 3 Men’s & Women’s Racers.
• Finisher Medals: Every participant earns a custom finisher medal.
• Live DJ: Enjoy great music while you race!

• Food Donations: All participants are asked to bring non-perishable boxes or canned food items.
• Community Focus: Contribute to those in need this Thanksgiving.

🕘 Start Times

• 10k Timed Race: Start Time at 8:50 AM
• 5k Timed Race: Start Time at 9:00 AM
• Fun Run/Walk: Begins once all timed runners have cleared the start line.

🌳 Route Terrain

• 5k & 10k Race: Greenway Trail + Path – partially paved, mostly grass and wooded trail/dirt.
• Fun Run/Walk: 100% paved on the Greenway Trail.

🏆 Awards

• Finisher Medals: All finishers will receive a custom High Country Turkey Trot finisher medal!
• Overall Winners: Top 3 overall men and women receive custom HCTT swag and a Stick Boy Bread Co. pumpkin pie!
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 in each age group will receive custom HCTT swag! Age groups: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
