Grand Canyon Trail Half Marathon & 5k Run/Walk

🏞️ Overview

The Grand Canyon Trail Half Marathon & 5k Run/Walk will occur on November 1, 2025, at 469 AZ-64, Grand Canyon Village, AZ. Registration is open for 2025! Join us in the beautiful Kaibab National Forest, steps from the stunning South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

👟 Event Details

• Location: The event kicks off in Tusayan, Arizona, where you'll find the start/finish line and all the post-race festivities.
• Course: The race is held within the designated Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument.
• Experience: Get set for a thrilling and challenging course through the Kaibab National Forest. Spot local wildlife along the way!
• Post-Race: After finishing, enjoy a beer garden and an artisan fair with locally-made goods.

🌲 Terrain and Difficulty

• Half Marathon: Rugged course with challenging forest jeep roads and a rolling final mile on paved paths.
• 5k Terrain: Mostly paved Arizona Trail with sections on hard-pack dirt road.
• Difficulty: The half marathon is challenging, with hills and rugged terrain. Expect the top runners to finish about 10 minutes slower than road races.
• Weather: Expect temperatures in the 30s-40s in the morning, warming up to the 60s-70s during the day.
