Experience nature and wildlife in this exciting 30K, 8 Mile, and 5K trail run that meanders along Lake Apopka's shoreline!

🌅About Lake Apopka

• Location: Lake Apopka is located 15 miles (24 km) northwest of Orlando.
• Size: It is the third-largest lake in the state of Florida.
• Wildlife Haven: The north shore of Lake Apopka is a haven for bird-watching, wildlife photographers, and nature lovers of all ages.
• Trail Offerings: The Lake Apopka Loop Trail covers more than 20 miles, providing hiking and biking opportunities.

🏃‍♂️30K Trail Run

The 30K route is a point-to-point run that starts at the Green Mountain Scenic Overlook and finishes at Magnolia Park. A complimentary pre-race shuttle will take 30K runners to Green Mountain Scenic Overlook.

• Wildlife: Participants will run along the Lake Apopka North Shore trail where birds, alligators, and other wildlife call home.
• Trail Composition: The trail is mostly hard-packed limestone with scattered areas of grass, dirt, and gravel.
• Hydration Stations: There are a total of four hydration stations along the 30K route with water, various supplies, and snacks.
• Event Policy: This will be a cupless event. All athletes will need to have a water pack or handheld water bottle with them for this event.

30K Course Map

🏅8 Mile Run

The 8-mile run starts and finishes at Magnolia Park in Apopka. The course is a 4-mile out-and-back run to the Historic Pumphouse on the Lake Apopka North Shore trail.

• Trail Types: The trail consists of pavement, hard-packed limestone, grass, and dirt.
• Hydration Stations: Runners will pass hydration stations approximately every 2 miles.
• Event Policy: This will be a cupless event. All athletes will need to have a water pack or handheld water bottle with them for this event.
• Starting Point: The run starts and finishes at Magnolia Park.

8 Miler Course Map

🏃‍♀️5K Run

The 5K run starts and finishes at Magnolia Park in Apopka. The course is an out-and-back run along the Lake Apopka North Shore trail.

• Trail Characteristics: The trail consists of pavement, hard-packed limestone, grass, and dirt.
• Event Policy: This will be a cupless event. All athletes will need to have a water pack or handheld water bottle with them for this event.
• Starting Point: The run starts and finishes at Magnolia Park.

🏆Swag & Awards

All participants will receive a long-sleeved mesh tech shirt and finishers medal. Overall awards to the top 3 Males & Females plus Master winners. Age group awards in 5-year increments 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, etc.

🍽️Post-Race Food

Refueling never got so easy! Tons of salty snacks and warm food will be ready for you when you cross the finish line. Our food tent will be stocked with bananas, chips, granola bars, cookies, sodas, Gatorade, and much much more!
