It's time for Virginia Run's favorite time of the year! We are happy to return for the 33rd Annual Virginia Run Turkey Trot 5k run and 2k walk. This Thanksgiving day tradition is a great way to kick off the day with families and friends.

- Wednesday: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Thursday: 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM
⏰ Start Times
- 5k Start Time: 8:00 AM
- 2k Start Time: 8:05 AM
👕 T-Shirts and Registration
T-shirts will be provided to all 5k participants (and those that purchased) who signed up by November 1st.
- Registration: Available until 7:30 AM Thursday
- Tip: It will save everyone time if they sign up prior to coming to packet pickup.
- Pick Up Recommendation: Please try to pick up your bibs on Wednesday to help start on time on Thursday.
🎉 About the Event
Founded in 1989, the Virginia Run Turkey Trot welcomes participants into the holiday season by promoting a spirit of community. This year, we invite runners and families back to this beloved tradition, where we will gather for a special day of turkey hats, dogs with feathered coats, and the excitement of the race.
But make no mistake: We intend to combine our fun with addressing the needs of less fortunate families near and far. The Trot has raised roughly 1 million dollars for charity since its inception. Held on Thanksgiving, it is not just a race, but a reminder of what really matters. We hope you can join us.

THE AMERICAN BOY PROJECT is a 501c3 dedicated to helping anyone struggling with addiction. In difficult times like these, we need to confront such problems in a compassionate and non-judgemental way. We aim to provide treatment scholarships for those in need, significantly reducing the chance of relapse and overdose.

💲 Registration Fees
- 5k: $40 until 10/31/23: $50 until 11/22/23: $55 on race day
- 2k Walk (Non-Timed): $5 (T-shirts $20 extra)
T-Shirts must be ordered by November 1st to guarantee delivery. After that, the shirts will be first come, first served.
