The Sturbridge Special Events Committee, in partnership with Giving Trees for Life, Inc. (The Festival of {Giving} Trees), is thrilled to announce the 3rd Annual Tree.1 Run for Fun Run/Walk happening on Saturday, July 12th, 2025! This event aims to raise funds for the Silent Spring Institute, the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, and The UMMH Cancer Center at Harrington Hospital to combat breast cancer, support cancer research, and help local cancer patients with financial hardship.
🗓️ Race Day Schedule & Location
- Registration: Registration is online here on Race Day.
- Bib Packet Pickup: Begins at 7:00 AM with a 3.1-mile race starting at 8:00 AM.
- Address: Sturbridge Town Common- 278 Main St, Sturbridge, MA 01566.
- Awards: Overall Female & Male Winners and Age Group Awards: prizes for best adult, child, and pet costumes!
🎉 Fun and Festivities
- Costumes: Christmas costumes are encouraged – prizes for the best adult, child, and pet costume!
- Vendors: Spectators and runners can enjoy many Christmas in July vendors on the common from 8:30 AM until 12 PM.
- Children's Activities: Fun activities for children all morning including a bouncy house and face painting.
- Children's Race: A fun children's race on the common, with participation medals for the first to register!
📝 Registration
- Early Bird Registration: $30 before May 15th - includes a t-shirt & finisher medal.
- Standard Registration: $35 after May 15th - register early to ensure a t-shirt and medal.
- Virtual Runners: $5 Shipping Donation Requested for t-shirt and finisher medal.
- Day of Registration: $35 for all – t-shirts and medals ONLY IF AVAILABLE - NO GUARANTEE.
