🏅 Race Details
- 15K Race: Run only, starts at 8:00am.
- Starting Mats: Separate starting mats for each race but they end at the same location.
- Organizers: The Northfield Historical Society became the new organizer of the run in 2020.
- Significance: The event is bigger and better than ever!
📖 Importance of the Outlaw Run
- Historical Event: On September 7, 1876, the James-Younger Gang robbed the First National Bank of Northfield.
- Community Heroes: Two Northfield men were killed during the robbery, and townspeople fought the gang.
- Chase: A posse was formed and pursued the gang for two weeks after the robbery.
- Commemoration: The name of our run, the Outlaw Run, honors those who chased after the robbers.
