🏅 Race Details

• 15K Race: Run only, starts at 8:00am.
• Starting Mats: Separate starting mats for each race but they end at the same location.
• Organizers: The Northfield Historical Society became the new organizer of the run in 2020.
• Significance: The event is bigger and better than ever!

📖 Importance of the Outlaw Run

• Historical Event: On September 7, 1876, the James-Younger Gang robbed the First National Bank of Northfield.
• Community Heroes: Two Northfield men were killed during the robbery, and townspeople fought the gang.
• Chase: A posse was formed and pursued the gang for two weeks after the robbery.
• Commemoration: The name of our run, the Outlaw Run, honors those who chased after the robbers.
