5th Annual South Gulf Cove CCT Furry Scurry 5K (Feb. 1st 2025 8am)

🐾 Welcome to the Event

The Conservancy and Community Trust of South Gulf Cove would like to welcome you to our 5th Annual South Gulf Cove CCT Furry Scurry 5K Walk/Run. All ages are welcome to join us for this Dog-Friendly Walk/Run in the South Gulf Cove Community.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Date and Time: February 1st, 2025 at 8:00 AM
• Location: 14859 Ingraham Blvd, South Gulf Cove, Port Charlotte, FL
• Course Options: 3.1-mile for runners and a special 1.5-mile course for dog walkers
• Timing: Chip-timed event

🐶 Beneficiary Organizations

We are excited to be able to put on this Chip Timed event to benefit our local Animal Shelters and Rescues. The proceeds will be donated to the following:

• Englewood Animal Shelter (EARS)
• Suncoast Humane Society Englewood
• The German Shepherd Rescue in Punta Gorda
• The Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida
• Ruck 9
• Rescue Garage
• Peace River K9 Search and Rescue

🎉 Post-Race Activities

We will be grilling up some free hotdogs and supplying some brews after this event to celebrate all the participants. There will be raffles and silent auctions with some great prizes so bring some extra cash. We will also offer a Virtual version of this race for our Furry Friend lovers from out of the area. Because this Race is a fundraiser, there will be no Refunds.

• Race Morning: Starting at 6:30 AM
• Early Packet Pick-up: Friday, January 31st from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

• Race Start Times: 8:00 AM for runners and 8:40 AM for dog walkers

5K Chip timed Walk/Run—includes a race t-shirt, custom chipped bib, participation medal and the top 3 in all categories will take home an award.

• Awards: M/F Overall, Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), Senior Grandmasters (60+), Veteran Grandmasters (70+), top 3 Male and Female in multiple age groups
• Entry Fees: $25.00 before Aug. 31st, $30.00 before Nov. 30th, $35.00 before Jan. 5th, $40.00 after Jan. 5th
• 1.5 Mile Mutt Strut Entry Fees: $25.00 before Jan. 5th, $30.00 after Jan. 5th
• Discounts: $5.00 off for running clubs and children under 18 after 9/1

🌐 Virtual Event

This event is done at your leisure. We will mail a finisher medal and t-shirt for those who sign up.
