🏅 About the Event
Join us on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Vista View Park in Davie for the Inaugural Becker Strong 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk to honor Embassy Creek Elementary's very own Robert Becker. As many of you know, Robert Becker was the beloved principal at Embassy Creek Elementary in Cooper City and lost his battle to cancer in 2024. Robert loved his family, friends, and running. Mr. Becker will be missed but he will never be forgotten, as he touched so many individuals, students, teachers, and families. Proceeds will be donated to Team Hurricanes (Dolphins Challenge Cancer), the Sarcoma Foundation of America, and the Robert Becker Scholarship, given out annually to select graduating Cooper City High School students who attended Embassy Creek Elementary.

- 5K Run/Walk: This is a chipped timed event with awards for the top 3 overall and in age groups.
- 1 Mile Walk: A fun, non-competitive, non-timed event.

All participants will receive a custom race bib, event shirt, and beautiful finisher medal. Sign up early and save:
- June 1 - August 31, 2024: $35.00 (adult): $30.00 (youth)
- September 1 - September 30, 2024: $37.50 (adult): $32.50 (youth)
- October 1 - November 1, 2024: $39.50 (adult): $34.50 (youth)
- November 2, 2024: $45.00 (adult): $40.00 (youth)

- 7:00 am: 5K Warm-Up
- 7:20 am: Announcements and National Anthem
- 7:30 am: Start of the Becker Strong 5K
- 8:15 am: Start of the Becker Strong 1 Mile Walk
- 8:30 am: Dancing and Entertainment with DJ Petey
- 8:45 am: 5K Awards Ceremony
