It’s time to suit up and choose your side—cape or cloak, superhero or Jedi, Rebel or Resistance. Whether you're flying solo like the Millennium Falcon or bringing your whole crew of defenders, this high-energy, family-friendly event benefits CASA of Central Virginia and supports our mission to advocate for children in foster care.

From the swiftest runners in the galaxy to our legendary Couch Crusaders, there's a place in this adventure for everyone.

🏃‍♂️ 5K Run: Lightspeed Heroes

• Timing: Professionally timed and packed with power.
• Registration: Include a race shirt (or cape), swag bag, and finisher medal.
• Start Time: 10:00 AM from the Percival’s Island Trail launchpad in downtown Lynchburg.
• Note: Start time is slightly later to account for early morning frost on the bridge.

🚶‍♀️ 5K Walk: Jedi Pathfinders

• Pace: Perfect for walkers who want to suit up and support CASA.
• Registration: Includes a shirt or cape, swag bag, and finisher medal.
• Start Time: 10:05 AM.
• Awards: No age group awards—this is a non-competitive walk through the galaxy.

🧑‍🎓 Kids 1 Mile Fun Run: Younglings in Training

• Ages: Calling all Padawans (ages 12 and under)!
• Mission: Complete the 1-mile course to earn your cape and finisher medal.
• Start Time: Begins at 11:45 AM from Percival’s Island Trail.
• Parents: May run alongside their young Jedi without registration—just pick up your security bracelet for child check-in/check-out at the finish line.
