• Change of Plans: All walking/running events at Cub Creek are cancelled.
• Gathering Location: The gathering at Merle's Cocktail Lounge is still scheduled.
• Time: Meet beginning at noon for fellowship and celebration.
• Support: Proceeds from race registration support the American Cancer Society.

🎉 Afterparty Details

The afterparty will be at Merle's Cocktail Lounge featuring:

• Live Music: Enjoy performances from The Rocky Point Band and Shay Martin Lovette.
• Food and Drinks: Cocktails/mocktails and a food truck will be available.
• Community Welcome: Non-race participants are encouraged to join.
• Fellowship: Bring friends and chairs for a fun and meaningful gathering.

• T-shirt Deadline: The deadline for T-shirt orders is extended to September 14, 2024.
• Online Registration: Available until September 27 at noon: day-of registration will be open but T-shirts will not be available for late registrations.
• Virtual Option: Virtual run/walk is available through October 4th.

Chad was a native of Wilkes County who passed away on July 9, 2016. He was known for his:

• Music Talent: A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a passionate singer/songwriter.
• Adventurous Spirit: Loved traveling, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
• Family Focus: Enjoyed living life to the fullest with loved ones.
• Legacy: This race honors Chad's love for life, nature, music, and fellowship.
