🎖️ Event Overview
Join us for our annual 5K Ruck ‘n Run/Walk to honor veterans during Veterans Appreciation Week. Join Lehigh Valley colleges, universities, businesses and community members as we Ruck OR Run/Walk to recognize and honor all veterans throughout the Lehigh Valley.
🏞️ Race Options
- In-Person Race: Offering an in-person race with 5K Ruck and Run/Walk options in addition to a 1 mile Fun Run/Walk option.
- Course: The course is an off road grass course through the scenic Bicentennial park.
🐶 Dog Policy
As much as we love dogs they are not allowed to run our races. Please keep your pup at home.
💰 Registration Details
- Minimum Donation: Participants who register and make a $30 minimum donation, by November 2, will have the option of an event giveaway at the event.
📅 In-Person Race Details
- Check-in & Race Day Registration: 8 AM-9 AM
- 5K Start: 9 AM
- Fun Run/Walk Start: 9:45 AM
- Awards Presentation: 10:30 AM
- Community Event: Featuring music, vendors, and food trucks from 8 AM-11 AM
👥 Age Groups
Each race option (Ruck and Run/Walk) will include seven (7) age groups. Ruckers are strongly encouraged to carry a minimum 10% of their body weight. This will be the honor system: we will not be weighing rucksacks this year.
- 12 and Under
- 13-18
- 19-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60+
🏆 Awards
- Award Eligibility: Awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group for the 5K Ruck and 5K Run/Walk options. The Fun Run/Walk is a non-competitive option with no timing or awards.
- Team Awards: The college or university team with the most participants earns a plaque to be displayed on their campus and BRAGGING RIGHTS!
- Business Awards: The business/team with the most participants earns a plaque to be displayed at their workplace and BRAGGING RIGHTS!
📝 Additional Information
Day of registration will be available for a $10 fee.
