🏃‍♂️ The 3rd Annual Rat Race 5k Run/Walk

The 3rd Annual Rat Race, hosted by the Huron Booster Club, is an annual fundraiser to support all sports offered at Huron! Home of the River Rats, Huron is a comprehensive high school in the Ann Arbor School District, with a student population of nearly 1900 students. It has one of the largest populations of Schools of Choice students and low-income students in Washtenaw County.

🤝 Why is Hosting Important?

Research shows that high schoolers who participate in sports manage stress better, feel a stronger sense of community, and are at low risk of engaging in risky behaviors. We want to make interscholastic athletics accessible to all students.

🎓 Registration Information

• Discounted Rate: Huron students and staff can register for a discounted rate.
• School ID: Must provide school ID at check-in!

📍 Course Details

Course starts and finishes under Huron's iconic Arch! Link to course map. The course is not USATF Certified.

• Start: Under the arch, head east out of the school driveway.
• Route: Follow the route around the building parallel to Fuller.
• Turnaround: Water station and turnaround point at Huron Parkway and Glazier.
• Finish: Head to the FINISH under the arch.

Event will happen 'rain or shine' so be prepared for whatever Mother Nature sends us!

🗓️ Day of Race Details

• Registration: Opens at 8:30 AM and will be located underneath Huron's iconic 'Arch' at the heart of campus.
• Parking: Can be made in the campus lots.
• Preferred Location: The lot by the football stadium or the lot by the Huron Spirit Rock / Tennis courts.
• Entrances: Both lots have entrances off of Fuller Road.
