Hoodlebug 5K Run and Fun Walk

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

We are looking forward to the 2025 Hoodlebug 5K Run & Fun Walk to be held Sunday, September 7, 2025. This is a race that has been held for years as part of the Homer City Business Association's Annual Fall Festival. The race starts at 4:30 PM on the bridge on Main Street near Floodway Park, but plan to come early to enjoy the Festival activities.

🌳 About the Race

• Course: An out and back race held mostly on the nearby Hoodlebug Trail.
• Participants: Runners and walkers are welcome.
• Family Pricing: Available this year, so bring the whole family.

🏆 Awards

• Categories: Awards are available to the top three males and females.
• Age Groups: Awards for the top three males and females in five-year age groups starting at ages 12 and under through 70+.
• Note: No separate walker awards.

🕒 Registration Details

• Onsite Registration: Opens at 3:00 PM at Floodway Park on the west end of Homer City, PA.
• Pre-registration: Encouraged.
• T-shirts: Race t-shirts are guaranteed to those who register by August 25th. Shirts will be available after that date and on race day as supplies last.

⏱️ Timing & Weather Policy

• Timing Services: Professional timing services provided by David Mapes Timing Service of Somerset, PA.
• Weather: The race is held rain or shine.
• Deferrals: No deferrals allowed.
