Trail of Honor Memorial Run

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

The Fort Gibson American Legion and Trail of Honor Flags will host the 5th Annual Trail of Honor 5k & Fun Run on May 24th in Fort Gibson. Trail of Honor Flags incorporated was founded in 2019 to continue and expand the efforts of American Legion volunteers who have put temporary flags from HWY 62 to the National Memorial Cemetery. The goal is Trail of Honor, and this event, is to make those flags permanent, which will consist of 300 flag poles each with a 5x8 American Flag.

🚩 Flag Carrying Option

Runners will have a option of carrying a flag throughout the race. When registering, you will be asked about this, so please respond with a yes if you would like to carry a flag.

🇺🇸 Honoring Service Members

By participating in this event you will help this cause and will honor our current and past service members as you run through the flags on Memorial Day weekend. This event has grown by approximately 30 to 40 runners each year and our goal is to get to 500, so thank you for coming back or considering this run for the 1st time.

👕 T-shirts

• Guaranteed: for all participants who sign up by May 10th
• First Come First Serve: from May 11th to the day of the event

💰 Registration Fees

• 2024 Returning Runners Sale: $20 for Fun Run & $25 for 5k until July 4th, 2024.
• Fun Run: $25 from 7/5/24 to 5/10/2025 & $25 from 5/11/2025 to Race Day
• 5k: $30 from 7/5/24 to 5/10/2025 & $35 from 5/11/2025 to Race Day
