Join us for the 41st annual Thoroughbred Classic 5K on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Lexington’s historic Keeneland Race Course.
Every Thanksgiving morning, runners and walkers from across the country come to Lexington, Kentucky, to take part in the Thoroughbred Classic 5K. Organized by Bluegrass Runners, the Thoroughbred Classic is a family-friendly event that benefits several local charities. We continue to be able to make an amazing amount of donations to local charities, typically over $40,000!

- Team Option: Create or join a team, must register by November 27th at 11:59PM.
🏆 AWARDS
- Categories: Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Seniors, and Age Group Awards will be presented.
- Turkey Medals: Awarded to all children (ages 1-9) with appropriate race bib.
- Stroller Bibs: $5 untimed bibs are not eligible for turkey medals.
- Prizes: Exciting opportunities for all age categories!
🎽 SWAG
- T-Shirt: Commemorative long-sleeve technical shirt while supplies last.
- Youth Shirts: Available again while supplies last.
- Quarter Zip: Option to purchase during registration.
- Socks: Premium technical running socks for first 1,000 participants aged 10 and older.
📅 IMPORTANT DATES
- July 29, 2024 - REGISTRATION OPENS at $25 per registration.
- October 1, 2024 - FIRST PRICE INCREASE to $30.
- November 1, 2024 - Deadline to guarantee kids shirt size.
- November 26-27, 2024 - Early Packet Pickup at Keeneland Racecourse.
👶🐶 STROLLERS & DOGS
- Registration: A $5 untimed bib must be purchased for each stroller and dog.
- Start Position: Must start in designated area behind all runners and walkers.
- Responsibility: Participants must be responsible for strollers and dogs.
- Leash Policy: NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES ARE PERMITTED.
📦 PACKET PICKUP
- Location: Barn 2 at Keeneland Racecourse, 4201 Versailles Road, Lexington, KY.
- Day 1: November 26, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
- Day 2: November 27, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
- Race Day: Packet pickup starts at 7:30 AM: arrive early!

Because we donate all proceeds to charity, there are no refunds, no exceptions. Thank you for supporting your local non-profits!
