Monster Dash 5k

👻 Event Overview

Get ready to run for your life 650' underground. Monster and zombies could be lurking around every corner! Can you survive? Runners are invited to wear their best costumes for a chance to win our Costume Contest!

🪖 Safety Requirements

• Helmet: You will need to wear a helmet and bring a light. We recommend a bike helmet. Helmets will be subject to approval by staff.
• Participants: Every participant will receive a Tee shirt and Bib.
• Medals: The first 300 runners to sign up are guaranteed a medal.
• Age Restrictions: No one may enter under 8, 8-18 must be accompanied by an adult.

🏃‍♂️ Heats Selection

• Sign Up: Please select a heat you want to run in. Heats are limited to the first 30 participants to sign up.
• Heat Changes: If you sign up for a late heat and we experience some empty heats ahead of you, you will be moved up to an earlier heat and notified via email before race day.
• Timing: You will have the opportunity to time yourself by using clocks at the start and finish.

🚶‍♀️ Walking Participation

• Event Type: You may run or walk this event. If you choose to walk please select a heat earlier in the day.
• Course Pickup: All walkers and runners still on the course at 1PM will be picked up and driven to the finish line.

⏰ Race Day Information

• Arrival: You will need to be at the race site 15 minutes before your selected time to pick up your race packet.
• Late Arrival: If you are late you may forfeit your race time and have to wait until the end of the day to run.

💰 Fundraising Purpose

This race is a fundraiser for the Reno County Historical Society comprised of the Reno County Museum and Strataca: Kansas Underground Salt Museum. Processing fees and taxes applied to purchase. Taxes and Fees are added to ticket cost. Purchase is final, no refunds.
