Ocracoke Island Weekend Runfest 5K, 10K & Half Marathon

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Join us for the 14th Annual Scallywag 5K/10K & 10th Annual Blackbeard's Half Marathon on April 26th and 27th, 2025. Taking place at 1129 Irvin Garrish Hwy, Ocracoke, NC, this weekend promises excitement and challenge for all participants.

🎉 Lt. Maynard's Challenge

• Challenge Details: Participants complete a 5K or 10K on April 26th and the Half Marathon on April 27th.
• Unique Finisher Item: Finishers will receive a special item to commemorate their achievement.
• Registration: Choose the challenge during half marathon registration and sign up for the 5K or 10K.
• Bragging Rights: Slay Blackbeard and earn exclusive recognition!

📅 Packet Pickup

• Location: 1718 Brewery
• Date & Time: April 25th, 5-7:30 PM: April 26th, 6:30-7:30 AM (5K/10K) and 5-7:30 PM (Half Marathon).
• Note: No same-day packet pickup for the Half Marathon.

💰 Fees

• 5K/10K: $35 (until January 15th), $40 (January 16th - March 15th), $45 (March 16th - April 24th), $50 (Race Weekend).
• Half Marathon: $60 (until January 15th), $65 (January 16th - March 15th), $75 (March 16th - April 24th), $80 (Race Weekend).
• Included: High-quality quick-dry t-shirt and tote bag for all runners registered before April 4th.

⏰ Start Times

• 5K/10K: Check-in from 6:30-7:30 AM: race starts at 8:00 AM.
• Half Marathon: Check-in at 6:30 AM: race starts at 7:00 AM with a cutoff at 11:00 AM.
• Post-Race: Water and fruit provided courtesy of The Variety Store.

🏆 Awards

• 5K/10K Awards: Top 3 male and female finishers receive awards: overall winners get $100 gift certificates.
• Half Marathon Awards: Top 3 male and female finishers receive awards: overall winners also get $100 gift certificates.
• Medals: All finishers in both events receive medals.

🎊 Post Run Party

Join us at 1718 Brewery for the post-run festivities on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Beer will be provided by 1718 Brewing: participants must be 21 or older.

🌅 Special Notes

Both days will be open to walkers and running strollers. Strollers must start behind runners and walkers. Please note that pets are not allowed unless they are service dogs, and bikes or skateboards are not permitted.
