Event Overview
Join us for our St. Petersburg Distance Classic on Florida’s west coast overlooking Tampa Bay. With a USATF certified Marathon (Boston Qualifier), Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K, plus Virtual options, we offer something for everyone.
Entertainment and Support
- Back Again: a variety of musical entertainment along the courses.
- Pacers: available for the marathon and half marathon to help athletes achieve their goals.
Course Details
- Initial Route: ALL four race courses start the same way for the first two miles heading north into Snell Isle.
- 5K Turnaround: 5K participants turn around at mile 2 and return towards the finish line.
- Half and Full Marathon: these participants head north and around Coffee Pot Bayou before returning to North Shore Park.
- Urban Experience: The Halfathon and Marathon head south along the waterfront, through downtown, and onto Central Avenue.
Split and Finish
- Course Split: At Mile 10, the Halfathon and Marathon courses split at the Pinellas Trail.
- Half Marathon Route: Participants head east back towards the waterfront.
- Marathon Route: Runners head west to complete marathon mileage before returning to the finish line.
- Certification: The marathon course is certified (FL19019TY) making it a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

- Beaches: Our award-winning, white-sand beaches provide the perfect setting to relax and recover.
- Ideal Weather: Temperatures (56° – 71°F) make this a perfect spot for a mid-winter vacation.
- Virtual Races: We offer four virtual options for athletes unable to join us on-site: marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K.
