🌍 Event Purpose

The Word "Sangamam" ("சங்கமம்") in the Tamil Language means, Confluence or assembly or junction or in simple terms, Join together in one place. Tamil is one of the oldest and most classical languages in the world.

• Community Togetherness: Bringing the entire community together
• Indian Community Presence: Showcasing support and engagement
• Donations: Proceeds help local non-profits
• Tamil Literature: Donations to local library

🏞️ Race Details

This timed 5k Run starts and finishes at the Tipton Trail South Shelter located at 2401 General Electric Road Bloomington, IL 61704. The 5K Run will be on the nicely paved Tipton Trail and/or Constitution Trail adjacent to the Tipton Trail.

• Water Stations: Available on the course
• Strollers and Walkers: Welcome, but no headphones
• 2K Family Fun: Water Gun Run or Walk for kids
• Volunteers: At mile markers for traffic control

🎖️ Awards and Registration

Post-race kids' fun games are also planned. Race Shirt is guaranteed to all registered participants who are pre-registered by July 10th. After that and through race day, a Race Shirt is not guaranteed.

• Packet Pickup: Starts at 6:30 am in the Tipton Trail (South Shelter)
• 5K Awards: Top overall male and female, age brackets
• Age Brackets: 15 & under, 15-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 60 & Up
• 2K Family Fun Awards: Categories for ages 3 & under, 4-6, 7-9, 10-15
