Gobble on the Green 5K

🦃 Welcome to the Gobble on the Green 5K!

Turkey, cornbread dressing, pumpkin pie, football, and family time … there are so many reasons to love Thanksgiving! Did we mention pie? Each family has its own activities and traditions to look forward to. The Village Green offers a 5K Run/Walk turkey-trot, Gobble On the Green!

👕 T-Shirts Information

• Final Order: The final t-shirt order was placed at 2:30pm on Nov. 12th.
• Availability: Additional t-shirts will not be available on race day this year.
• Registration Cutoff: T-Shirts are only available to those registered by November 12th.
• Encouragement: Sign up and be part of the Thanksgiving Day fun!

📅 Pre-Race Check In

• Early Check-In: Available on Wednesday, November 27th from 3-6pm at The Village Green Lewis Hall (Address: 160 Frank Allen Road in Cashiers).
• Bibs and T-Shirts: Participants will receive their bibs and t-shirts at check-in.
• On-Time Start: Check in early on November 27th to ensure an on-time race start on Thanksgiving morning.
• Race Day Check-In: Available inside Lewis Hall from 7:30am-8:45am!

🏃‍♂️ Event and Course Details

• Course Map: The race course map and directions are available on this race website.
• Support: There will be signage and volunteers posted along the racecourse to assist with directions.
• Stroller Guidance: Parents with strollers should start at the back of the group.
• Dog Policy: No dog participation due to the number of participants: dogs must be leashed and under control if brought by spectators.

🥇 Awards and Prizes

• Top Winners: The top two overall winners (male and female) will receive pies in addition to race medals.
• Age Awards: Age level awards will be given to the top two finishers (male and female) in 7 age groups.
• Door Prizes: Four door prizes from local businesses will be awarded based on random bib number drawings.
• Presence Required: PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN DOOR PRIZES AND AWARDS.

⏱️ Post-Race Information

All participants' race times will be posted to the Gobble on The Green Run Sign Up website post-race. Thank you for participating in the 2024 Gobble on The Green!

Your registration in Gobble allows The Village Green to operate and maintain a 13+ acre nonprofit park that is open 365 days a year for free, where over 270 days of free community events occur!
