🐾 Waggin' Wild 5k & Fun Run

The Waggin' Wild 5k is a Rescue Run-Walk for people of all ages, taking place on March 1, 2025, at Bur-Mill Park in Greensboro, NC. This fun-filled fundraiser encourages family participation and pets are welcome!

Join us for a day of excitement with a 5k and a 1-mile Fun Run. Registration opens at 9:00 AM, and the races will commence at 10:30 AM (5k) and 10:35 AM (Fun Run). Stick around for awards, prizes, food, beverages, and much more!

🕒 Event Times

• 9:00 AM: On-site Registration Opens
• 9:30 AM: Photo booth setup for individual and group shots
• 9:30 AM: Raffle Open - 2 free tickets included with registration: additional tickets available for purchase
• 10:30 AM: 5K starts on paved Greenway
• 10:35 AM: Fun Run starts on paved Greenway: Dogs are encouraged, but please no retractable leashes
• 11:45 AM: Recovery food, Awards, Prizes, and Raffle announcements

🎽 Race Goodies

All competitors who register early will receive the Waggin' Wild T-Shirt and Race Bag (limited availability for late registration and day of registration).

🏆 Awards

Prizes will be awarded to:

• Top three finishers: Overall in Men's and Women's categories
• First-place finishers: Among men and women in each age group
• Top 3 dogs: Crossing the finish line in the 5K

🚦 Race Day Details

Registration from 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM. The 5K race is chip-timed by Junction 311 Endurance Sports.

5K Details

The 5K will start at 10:30 AM. The race will begin at the Wildlife Center. Participants receive a T-Shirt and Race Bag, with awards for the Top 3 Dogs crossing the finish line.

🏃‍♂️ Fun Run Details

The Fun Run will start at 10:35 AM over a course of one mile, beginning at the Wildlife Center. Participants will receive a T-Shirt and Race Bag.

💵 Registration Fees

5K Fees:

• $25 - Early bird through July 31
• $30 - August 1 - December 31
• $35 - January 1, 2024 - race day

Fun Run Fees:

• $20 - 1-miler
• $23 - Fun Run August 1 - December 31
• $25 - Fun Run January 1, 2024 - race day

*Registration Fees are Non-Refundable. To guarantee a T-shirt, registration must be completed by February 18th.

🐕 Participation Rules

For your dog’s safety, participants must abide by the following rules:

• Health: Dog(s) must be current on all shots and rabies vaccination.
• ID: Dog(s) must wear an ID Tag.
• Aggression: No dog(s) in heat and no aggressive dogs.
• Leash: Dog must be leashed (6ft. max length): retractable leashes are prohibited.
• Cleanup: You must pick up after your dog: disposable bags will be provided if needed.
