Waggin' Wild 5k & Fun Run

🐾 Welcome to the Waggin' Wild 5k & Fun Run!

The Waggin' Wild 5k is a Rescue Run-Walk for people of all ages taking place at Bur-Mill park in Greensboro on March 1. This fun-filled fundraiser encourages family participation and the inclusion of pets!

⏰ Event Times

• 9:00 AM: On-site Registration Opens
• 9:30 AM: Our "photo booth" will be setup for you to drop in and get your individual, group or pet shot.
• 9:30 AM: Raffle Open: You will receive 2 free raffle tickets with your registration! Additional tickets available for purchase.
• 10:30 AM: 5K will start on paved Greenway.
• 10:35 AM: Fun Run will start on paved Greenway. Please NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES for safety of runners.
• 11:45 AM: Recovery food, Runner/Walker/Pet Awards, Prizes and Raffle announcements

🎁 Race Goodies

All competitors who register early will receive the Waggin' Wild T-Shirt and Race Bag. (late registration and day of only while supplies last)

🏆 Awards

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers overall in both Men's and Women's categories, as well as the first-place finishers among men and women in each age group. Awards will be presented to the top 3 dogs that cross the finish line in the 5K.

🗓️ Race Day Details

9:00 am - 10:15 am - Registration Open. The 5K race is chip-timed by Junction 311 Endurance Sports.

5K Details

The 5K will start at 10:30 AM. Race will begin at Wildlife Center. Participants will receive a T-Shirt and Race Bag. Awards will be given to the Top 3 Dogs crossing the finish line in the 5K.

🏃‍♂️ Fun Run Details

The Fun Run will start at 10:35 AM over a course of one mile. Race will begin at Wildlife Center. Participants will receive a T-Shirt and Race Bag.

💲 Registration Fees

• $25: 5K early bird through July 31.
• $30: 5K Aug 1 - Dec 31.
• $35: 5K Jan 1, 2025 - race day.
• $20: Fun Run 1-miler.
• $23: Fun Run Aug 1 - Dec 31.
• $25: Fun Run Jan 1, 2025 - race day.

*Registration Fees are Non-Refundable. TO GUARANTEE A T-SHIRT - must be registered by FEB 18th.

🐶 Participation Rules

• Vaccination: Dog(s) must be current on all shots and rabies vaccination.
• ID Tag: Dog(s) must wear an ID Tag.
• Temperament: No dog(s) in heat and no aggressive dogs.
• Leashing: Dog must be leashed (6ft. max length) & in control. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES PLEASE.
• Cleanliness: You must pick up after your dog. Disposable bags will be provided if needed.
