Union City: Officer Owens Memorial Run and Charity Event

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Union City High School Student Council is excited to partner with our local police department to host a charity run in honor of Officer Brandon Owens - who fell ill after contracting COVID-19 while working in the line of duty. Anytime an officer is lost, the effects are felt throughout the community - this is especially true in a small town like ours.

🎉 Inaugural Fast "Keep Pace" 5k

• Event Details: Families and folks of all ability levels are welcome to also come together and participate in the 1-mile Family Fun Run/Walk.
• Partnerships: Sponsored through partnerships with the Union City Police Department and Union City Public Schools.

💰 Purpose of Funds

Monies raised will go to the Union City "Shop with a Cop" outreach program, which annually allows for special Holiday experiences for kids in our community.

🍽️ Memorial Charity Event

After the run stay, eat, and enjoy our annual Memorial Charity Event - hosted by several of our student groups and community members.

📅 Event Schedule

• Packet Pickup: is at 9:00am at the race location.
• Event Start: The event begins at 10:00am.

🎯 Race Management

We are excited to work with Oklahoma Race Company - who will provide electronic chip timing, course management, registration services, start/finish, and race director services.
