We are excited for our 3rd annual Larry Prout Jr (The Bear) Courage Fund 5k and 1 mile run/walk fundraiser! This year's race will be held on Saturday, June 28th.

💖 Purpose of the Event

• Proceeds: Proceeds from this event assist University of Michigan Mott Children's Hospital families.
• Support: Families facing complex medical issues with gas, food, utilities, clothes, and other basic necessities.
• Hardships: Many of these needs become hardships when a family is facing the medical crisis of a loved one.

💰 Pricing Information

• 5K Pricing: $30 until 6/18. $35 from 6/19 to 6/27. $40 on race day. Online registration only on race day.
• Family/Friends Discount: $3/person discount when registering 3 or more people at the same time. Valid only for the 5k until 6/18.
• 1 Mile Pricing: $25 until 6/18. $30 from 6/19 to 6/26. $35 on race day. Online registration only on race day.

T-shirts are guaranteed with entry by end of day June 13th. Supplies available as they last after that date.

🗺️ Course Details

The race course will be the same location as it has been for the last 2 years. We are grateful to have the assistance of the Livingston County Sheriff Department at the intersection of M36 and McGregor road to help our runners and riders cross safely to the Hamburg trail.

Please extend a thank you to them when you see them at the crossing on race day!

📦 Packet Pickup

Race day morning June 28th, from 8:00 am to 10:00 at the Registration/Check-in Tent. Race packets include: event and sponsor information, race t-shirt, and bib.

💻 Virtual Runners

Register by June 13th to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Price is $30. Your packet (including t-shirt and event information) will be mailed as the race approaches.

You can post your results by going to the results tab at the top of the page and selecting virtual results. Results must be submitted by July 6th.

📊 Results

Results will be live during the race and posted on this website. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
