The Nevada Division of Child & Family Services in partnership with Carson City CASA and Rennervation Foundation is proud to present their Third Annual Walk us Home 5k for foster homes.

📊 Foster Care Facts

Number of Homes: Did you know there are roughly 60 foster homes in rural Nevada for the 400 youth in foster care?
County Variance: Some counties have as many as 14 homes, while others have as few as 1 or 2.
No Homes: There are even Nevada counties that have no foster homes.
Impact: When there are not enough foster homes, children risk being displaced to outside communities, creating numerous challenges.

🎯 Event Purpose

Join us in bringing attention to our huge need for foster homes because every child deserves to go home.

All proceeds for this event will go towards the 2025 Camp Rennervation that invites Nevada foster youth to experience an unforgettable summer camp in Lake Tahoe.

🏅 This Year’s Events

5k Run: Participate in the 5k race.
5k Walk: Enjoy a scenic walk.
3k Run: Shorter run option available.
3k Walk: Compatible for all ages.

👦👧 Divisions Include

Kids: Under 13
Teens: 13-17
Women: 18+
Men: 18+
Teams: Minimum of 3 members: any age, gender, or event.

🎉 Event Highlights

Our Family 5/3k run or walk begins at the Brewery Arts Center and tours through the residential neighborhood of West Carson City. Following our 5k, we will be hosting a Family Block Party & Resource Fair.

In honor of child abuse prevention month, WEAR BLUE to signify your fight against child abuse. Be prepared for all types of weather—hot or cold. Water stations will be provided.

🏆 Awards and Recognition

We're thrilled to announce that top finishers in multiple categories will be rewarded for their outstanding efforts. Prizes await the top men, women, kids, and teen finishers, adding an extra dash of excitement to the event.
