- Community Celebration: An urban hometown celebration of Richfield's running community and culture.
- Scenic Course: The race takes place through the most scenic parts of the city.
- Environmental Benefit: 100% of proceeds from this race benefit environmental education.
- Long-standing Partnership: A partnership that has lasted over 50 years between the Richfield School District and Nature Center.

- Course Changes: The Wood Lake Nature Center building will be under construction during the 2025 race, so the course will be different from previous years.
