Tomato Trot 5k

🍅 Welcome to the 7th Annual Tomato Trot!

• When: May 10, 2025
• Where: 770 Cannery Road, Northumberland, PA
• Beneficiaries: All proceeds will support WGRC Christian Radio Station and Salt and Light Ministries.
• Purpose: Supports local organizations making a difference in the Susquehanna Valley.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Start/Finish: Parking lot of the Furmano Foods plant.
• Timing: The 5K will be chip-timed by Falcon Race Timing.
• Weather: This is a rain or shine event, so come prepared!
• Family-Friendly: Fun activities for kids will be available during the 5K.

👟 Challenges and Fun

• Race the Tomato: Participants will have a chance to race against our running Tomato for bragging rights!
• Free T-Shirt: Pre-register by April 12 to receive a free event t-shirt!
• Cash Prizes: Awards for the top 3 overall finishers (male and female).
• Kids' Fun Run: Free to all kids who would like to participate after the 5K.

🗺️ Course Information

• Course Type: Out and back course in scenic rolling countryside.
• Refreshments: Available after the race for all participants.

🕗 Schedule of Events (tentative)

• 8:30-9:45 AM: Registration/Packet Pick-up
• 10:00 AM: 5K Run/Walk Start
• 10:50 AM: Kids’ Fun Run Start
• 11:00 AM: Awards Ceremony

🏆 Awards and Age Groups

• Awards: Top 3 overall finishers (male and female).
• Age Groups: Male: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
• Female Age Groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
• Note: No duplication of awards.
