The Melt Down - Three Consecutive 5Ks

🏃‍♂️ The Melt Down

Three 5K's + One Day = The Melt Down! This challenging event is in its 10th year.

🕗 Race Schedule

• Start Times: Three consecutive 5K's at 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., and 10:00 a.m.
• Participation: Do one, two, or all three races! You can decide that day!
• Order Requirement: Races must be done in order (no fresh runners in race #2 or race #3).
• Single Race: If doing just one race, it must be the 8:00 a.m. race.

🏞️ Course Details

• Time Limit: Races must be finished in 1 hour to allow for the start of the next race.
• Path: Course is on a beautiful wide, smooth, paved trail through two parks.
• Scenic Feature: The course crosses a historical bridge!
• Facilities: Indoor restrooms and a fun, free splash pad and playground for the kiddos located right next to the start/finish.

🥇 Awards & Perks

• Finisher Medal: Everyone who finishes all three races receives a custom MELT DOWN medal.
• T-Shirts: Fun HOT, summer themed t-shirts!
• First Race Awards: Awards for top three male/female and top 3 in age groups in the FIRST race only.
• Combined Time Awards: Awards for the top 3 best COMBINED times of all three races.

The Melt Down will take place at Blue River Memorial Park, Shelbyville, IN.
