TAM Trek 2026 Race Description

Event Overview

• Event Year: In its 23rd year, TAM Trek is a trail race and fun run to raise money for the Trail Around Middlebury (TAM) in Middlebury, VT.
• Location: Starts and finishes at Wright Park in Middlebury, Vermont.
• TAM Trail: A 19-mile long footpath encircling the village linking several hundred acres of town land, conserved properties, schools, and local landmarks.

Race Details

• 19-Mile Race: Travels the entire TAM through Middlebury, Cornwall, New Haven, and Weybridge, VT. Departs at 7:30 AM.
• 10K Course: Entirely on single-track trail through Wright Park and the Otter Creek Gorge Loop, with around 400 feet of elevation gain. Departs at 9 AM.
• 5K Course: A challenging combination of wide and single-track trail entirely in Wright Park, looping from the southern entrance to Belden Falls and back. Departs at 9:15 AM.
• 2-Mile Fun Run: Family-friendly event on trail following Otter Creek, popular for families with young children. Dogs on leash are welcome. Departs at 9:30 AM.
