Running With the Lions

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Madera Evening Lions invite you to participate in "Running with the Lions", a 5K Run-Walk event at Lions Town & Country Park in beautiful Madera, California. We would like to create diabetes awareness and provide information through local agencies and organizations. A great day to get outside and move for those impacted by diabetes. This year JDRF will be present - they are the leading company on diabetes research and over the years have improved the way of life for many diagnosed.

📅 Registration Details

• Online Registration: Closes on the 9th of April.
• Packet Pickup: You can still register at packet pick up on the 10th, and the morning of the race on April 11th once registration closes.

🎁 Participant Incentives

• Fruit Tree: Race Participants will earn a ready to plant fruit tree from The Burchell Nursery! (one per family)
• T-Shirts: Appropriate size will be guaranteed to those who register before and on March 21st.
• Finishers Medal: Finishers will earn a surprise finishers goodies/ your Very own finishers Lion Medal!

💰 Fundraising Purpose

Funds raised will assist with Diabetes Research to help better lives and find a cure.

📍 Pick Up Information

• Bib Number and T-Shirt Pickup: Will be Friday April 10th at Town and Country Park between Baseball Fields 1 and 2 behind the snack bar under big purple tent from 6:00-7:30pm.
• Day of Bib Pickup: Will start at 7am at the amphitheater by the starting line.

⏰ Race Day Details

• Race Start Time: 8:30am.
• Glasses Recycling: Did you know that glasses could be recycled properly? The Madera Evening Lions will be collecting glasses at packet pick up and race day.
