Since 2019 the RTA5K has delivered a great race experience for runners of all levels on an epic course through the states largest city. This is a can't-miss summer race for Cumberland County.

- Special Awards: for fastest Male, Female, and Kid from Vineland and the True Grit Award for our LAST PLACE FINISHER.
- Overall Awards: to Top 3 Overall and in Age Groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, and 10 year age groups up to 70+
- New Divisions: Stroller & Racing Chair Divisions: Awards to the top 3 Stroller and Racing Chair Runners!
- Free Kids Dash: for ages 10 & under following the 5K.
📅 Race Day Details
- Packet Pickup: Pre-race packet pickup and race day registration will open at 7:30 am.
- Registration Payment: Race day registration and payment is done online via QR code. No cash or checks accepted.
- Registration Deadline: Race day registration will close at 8:50 to ensure an on-time start of 9:00 am - NO EXCEPTIONS. Pre-registered runners can still check in until 8:55.
📜 About the Organizers
The Vineland Downtown Improvement District/Main Street Vineland promotes, enhances and revitalizes historic Landis Avenue as a thriving commercial district and community-gathering place for shoppers, residents and visitors. In 2021, Main Street Vineland was awarded the Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP) grant, which provides 5 years of funding towards creating visible, tangible, asset-based, and community-driven change within the NPP District. In the fourth year of this run in the heart of our District, we begin a journey that will transform the very streets and buildings you will run by and encourage you to return each year to watch this transformation happen.
Second Capital Running was formed in Vineland 2018 to make the vision of the Running The Ave 5K into reality, and now manages over 25 races in all corners of South Jersey with the mission of cultivating strong community action and leadership through the sport of running. We are honored to work alongside Main Street Vineland for the sixth year of our hometown race.
