• Starting Point: Lake Lodge at Camp Lake of the Woods in Swope Park (38.991269, -94.518709)
• Directions: Entrance located off of Oldham Rd just SE of Hillcrest Rd
• Map: Available at packet pickup

🚗 Parking

• Attendants: Parking attendants available starting at 6:30 AM
• Limited Parking: Carpooling is encouraged
• Alternative Parking: Lakeside Nature Center's parking lot available

🦅 Raptors

• Presence: Educational raptors will be at the race
• Interaction: Pictures and questions are encouraged

🎟️ Raffle

• Time: Raffle begins around 8:45 AM
• Tickets: One ticket included with registration: additional for $2
• Payment: Accepts cash, check, and credit

💧 Hydration

• Prepare: Drink plenty of fluids in the days leading up to the race
• Water Stations: Available at the halfway point and finish line
• Recommendation: 10K runners should bring their own hydration unit

🕒 Late Starts

• Policy: No late starts due to crossing race courses

🎒 Bag Drop

• Service: Secured area behind packet pickup for bag storage

🚻 Bathrooms

• Location: Bathrooms are located in the Lake Lodge

🌲 Trail Tips

• Footing: Watch for exposed roots, rocks, and fallen logs
• Fatigue Caution: Most falls happen as fatigue sets in
• Wildlife: Keep an eye out for cool critters along the trail

🛤️ Trail Etiquette

• Pacing: Slower racers should step off the trail to the right
• Passing: Yell "ON YOUR LEFT" when approaching
• Earbuds: Not recommended: if necessary, wear only one

📈 Registration Information

• Early Bird Pricing: Available from 1/1/25 to 4/30/25
• Price Increases: Scheduled on 5/1/25, 7/1/25, and 8/1/25
• Day-of Registration: Available if capacity allows

🏆 Awards

• Prizes: First place male and female in each distance (excluding walkers) will receive free race entry next year!

🐾 Pet Policy

• Dogs: Not allowed to participate in the race due to heat and live birds
• Viewing: Dogs can cheer from the sidelines if leashed
