📦 Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup: Lakeside Nature Center on Friday, 8/1 from 10 AM – 4 PM.
• Race Day Pickup: Lake Lodge from 6:30 AM – 7:45 AM Saturday morning.
• Note: If picking up on race morning, arrive early to allow time for potential lines!

🚩 Race Location

The race does not take place at Lakeside Nature Center! The race start is located at Lake Lodge at Camp Lake of the Woods in Swope Park (38.991269, -94.518709).

A map will be available at packet pickup if you need further directions to the race location.

🅿️ Parking Information

• Parking Attendants: Available starting at 6:30 AM to assist.
• Carpooling: Encouraged due to limited parking around the lodge.

🦉 Educational Raptors

Lakeside Staff and Volunteers will be present with several of our educational raptors (owls, falcons, hawk, and vulture). Pictures and questions are welcome!

🎟️ Raffle Information

• Time: The raffle will begin around 8:45 AM.
• Tickets: All racers receive 1 ticket included with registration.
• Additional Tickets: Can be purchased on race day for $2.

💧 Hydration Tips

• Fluids: Drink plenty of fluids starting a few days before the race.
• Water Stations: One will be provided around the halfway point of both races.

⏰ Race Timing

Due to the crossing of the race courses, there will be no late starts for any of the race distances.

👜 Bag Drop

A secured area behind packet pickup will be available to leave any items while you are out on the trail.

🚻 Bathroom Facilities

Bathrooms are located in the Lake Lodge.

🏞️ Trail Tips

For those new to trail running, be cautious as you navigate obstacles. Most falls happen when fatigue sets in, so be aware of your footing, especially on rocky stretches.

🤝 Trail Etiquette

Please be considerate of other runners. Slower racers should step off the trail to the right to let others pass, and audible signals for passing are encouraged.

The rain date for 2025 will be the following Saturday, August 9. Check for cancellations via email, Facebook, and the Registration Page.

📅 Registration Information

Early Bird Prices for Registration between 1/1/25 and 4/30/25. Prices will increase on 5/1/25, 7/1/25, and 8/1/25.

🏆 Awards

First Place male and female runners in each distance (excluding walkers) will receive free race entry for next year!

🐾 Dog Policy

Due to the heat and live birds, dogs are not allowed to participate in the race but can cheer from the sidelines on a leash.
