Our Rock the Run 5K started in 2015 to celebrate our 60th Diamond Anniversary of The Hope Center at Hagerstown Rescue Mission and to bring the community together to help raise support and awareness for the homeless and hungry in our community.
🤴 Event Purpose
- Community Engagement: Rock the Run 5K allows us to bring businesses, runners, walkers, competitors, and volunteers together to have fun, share some laughs, run or walk a few miles, and raise money for those in need.
- Fundraising Goal: This year's fundraiser will help us convert our front porch into a 4-season emergency weather shelter.
🎉 Costume Contest
We encourage our participants to have fun with costumes and accessories and show us your pirate or princess side! We’ll be making this event a little more exciting with some pirate & princess-themed touches to everything.

But most importantly, we want you to have fun because you’re supporting a great cause and doing something amazing for our community. So start talking it over with all your running friends, encourage others to join you, and then grab that eye-patch, tiara, and your running shoes for Rock the Run: Pirates vs Princess!
