Move Forward 5K & 10K

🏃‍♂️ Move Forward 5K & 10K Overview

The Move Forward 5K/10K is an event created by the Doctor of Physical Therapy students at The Regis University School of Rehabilitative & Health Sciences as a community outreach project to fundraise and promote physical activity and overall wellness. All the proceeds from the event go to Canine Companions for Independence®, Foundation for Physical Therapy Research, and the SRHS Excellence Fund.

📅 Race Details and Mission

• Date: The race will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2025.
• Participants: Experienced runners, casual runners and walkers, well-behaved on-leash dogs, and families are all welcome.
• Goals: Facilitate and encourage physical activity within the community: raise awareness of the role of PT in health promotion.
• Support: Funds critical research for rehabilitation, providing service dogs to individuals with disabilities.

📝 Registration Information

Kids 12 years and under run for free with their registered parents and/or guardians on the same course for the 5k/10k races. Ages 13 and older, please register above. There is no age limit to participate!

🏷️ Race Day Registration

• Registration Time: Arrive 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to race start time.
• Start Time: Race Day registration will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday, September 20th, 2025.
• Location: Registration Table in front of the Student Center in the quad.
• Please Note: Registrations after September 10th are NOT guaranteed their chosen T-shirt size.

🎽 Packet Pickup and T-Shirts

• Pickup Location: Regis University, right next to parking lot 4.
• Pickup Times: Friday, September 19th, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 PM in Claver Hall or Race Day starting at 8:00 AM.
• T-Shirt Guarantee: Size guaranteed with registrations by Wednesday, September 10th, 2025.
• Post Deadline: All registrations after this date will not be guaranteed their chosen T-shirt size.

👥 Team Discount

Teams of at least 5 members will receive a 10% discount. Teams of at least 10 members will receive a 15% discount. Discount is not applied to virtual runners.

👶 Joggers/Strollers/Dogs

Jogging strollers are welcome in all races. Please be considerate of other racers and start in the back of the pack. All dogs on leashes are welcome in all races.

💻 Virtual Race

Individuals who opt for the virtual race option will have a span of 1 week to complete. Please send us pictures with captions of the completion of your 5k/10k to our social media links! We would love to see your accomplishments as well as share them with other runners!

🗺️ Route

The starting point of the race is at Regis University and there will be volunteers to guide you to the starting point as well as along the way. Streets will be blocked off and there will be cones and arrows to guide you through the route. The 5K turn-around is halfway along the second pond on the map after the 1st-mile marker, 10K is at Nolan street - take the exact route back. There will be water stations at the turn-around points.

🚗 Parking

Participants and supporters can park for free in the Regis University Lots 4 and 6. For specific questions, the Office of Parking and Transportation Services can be reached at ruparking@regis.edu or (303) 458-4391. Click here for a campus map. Street parking is subject to local and state regulations enforced 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
