🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

THE END IS NEAR!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!! Well, the Running Season end is near anyway, not so sure about the apocalypse just yet. Lets celebrate an awesome 2024 running season with your favorite season ending event.

🏅 Race Details

• Distances: The Lakefront Discovery Run features either a 15k, a 5k, and a FREE Kids run!
• Participation: Each distance can be run, walked, skipped, or hopped.
• Awards: Age group awards as well as awards for overall winners.
• Costume Contest: More importantly, there will be an award for ‘Best Costume’ as voted on by the event volunteers (please don’t attempt to bribe the volunteers).

🎉 Race Day Fun

• Free Beer: Those in Costume get FREE BEER!!
• Course: The run begins at Veteran's Park and provides a delightful tour of Milwaukee’s lakefront.
• Aid Stations: Candy laden aid stations line the course to fuel your run and satisfy your sweet tooth.
• Event Perks: Each runner/volunteer receives an event t-shirt (Runners who register after Oct 23rd ARE NOT guaranteed a shirt).

📝 Registration Information

• Pre Race Registration: 15k: $45 (BLS members receive a $5 discount)
• 5k Registration: $35 (BLS members receive a $5 discount)
• Race Day Registration: available at Veteran's Park (race shirt not guaranteed)
• Cost on Race Day: 15k: $50 and 5k: $40

• Thursday Oct 24: From 4PM-7PM at Performance Running Outfitters - Brookfield location, 2205 N Calhoun Rd, Brookfield, WI 53005
• Friday Oct 25: From 4PM-7PM at Performance Running Outfitters - Shorewood location, 4533 N Oakland Ave, Shorewood, WI 53211

⏰ Race Day Schedule of Events

• 8:00AM-8:55AM: Registration and Packet Pick Up/Check-in
• 8:45AM: Kids Costume Run
• 8:58AM: National Anthem
• 9:00AM: 15k start
• 9:15AM: 5k start

🏆 Awards

Awards for 15k and 5k: Overall male and female in each event and age group awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each age group M/F: 14 and under: 15-19: 20-24: 25-29: 30-34: 35-39: 40-44: 45-49: 50-54: 55-59: 60-64: 65-69: 70-74: 75-79: 80 and over.

Best Costume: Female/Male/Group
