🏕️ Supporting Our Community

This race supports the local community by providing funding for Koinonia's 9 week summer Nature Day Camp. Funded items include:

• Camp Scholarships: Financial assistance for campers.
• Youth Scholarships: For other Koinonia programs.
• Operational Funds: Support day camp activities and staffing.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

This event is a 5K Run for our more serious participants, a 5K Family Fun Run/Walk to run, walk, or stroll at your leisure, and back again this year a Kid's 1 mile Fun Run! The route will take you through beautiful Koinonia on the camp road. A copy of the course will be provided ahead of the race.

🎽 Race Registrations Include

• Race Timing: 5K or 1 mi professionally timed race.
• T-Shirt: New Koinonia 5K logo t-shirt.
• Access: All day access to Koinonia's hiking trails, boating, fishing areas, and more.
• Photos: Photos of racers can be obtained on the race website following the event.

🥇 Awards Ceremony

Awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the 5K race with Koinonia medals going to the top 3 men and top 3 women. All kids 10 and under will receive a participation award.

💻 Virtual Option

Can’t make it out to Koinonia? Do the race virtually! Gather your friends and make your own event! Send us your photos and be sure to tag KoinoniaNY on Facebook or koinoniahighlandlake on Instagram.

💰 Fundraising

Register to fundraise for Koinonia individually or as a group. Not a runner? Support one of the fundraising teams through a generous donation. Your donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. The top event fundraiser will be awarded a special Koinonia prize basket!

Want to stay all weekend or need a pack lunch for your post-race hiking adventure? Contact register@koinoniany.org and reference the 5K for all your race weekend needs.

⚠️ Road Closure Notice

For the safety of all the racers, the camp road will be closed starting at 8:00 am on 5/24 in preparation to start the race. Please plan to arrive before that time to ensure you are able to drive in.
