🏃‍♂️ 2025 Hull of a Race for Parkinson’s

Join us on Saturday, August 16th for the 19th annual Hull of a Race. Our Mission: A 501(C)(3) Public Charity. All proceeds from the event go to Parkinson's Research.

🎉 Looking Back at 2024

• Fundraising Success: In 2024, Hull of a Race raised $18,000 and donated $17,500 to the American Parkinson Disease Association Missouri Chapter.
• Expense Management: $500 was spent on a storage cabinet for race materials, ensuring safe and secure storage.
• Participation: Approximately 225 runners participated, drawn by the fast times achievable on our flat certified course.
• Community Support: We welcomed a larger number of participants fighting Parkinson's, making the event a community highlight.

🤝 Improvements for 2025

• Comfort Options: New arrangements will be made for Parkinson’s fighters to attend comfortably with chairs and transportation options.
• Stickers: Runners will receive stickers to honor those affected by Parkinson’s: names and addresses are welcome.
• Volunteer Opportunities: Join our Pit Crew to help with the race: new members are always welcome!

📅 Event Details

• Date: August 16, 2025
• Start Times: 8:00 a.m. for 5k/10k events: 7:45 a.m. for the kids' fun run.
• Location: All races begin and end at 290 Main Street, Hull, IL 62343.
• Courses: The courses are USATF Certified (IL22004NM, IL22005NM) and traverse through scenic countryside.

⏱️ Race Timing

• Chip Timing: All events are professionally timed by Elvish Consulting.
• Award Basis: Overall awards are based on gun time: age group awards are based on chip (net) time.
• Awards: Trophies, Medallions, and Ribbons will be awarded following the adult race.
• Age Groups: Several groups include Fun Run (11 & under) and 5K/10K (14 & under, 15-19, up to 70 & over).

👕 Shirts and Registration

• Shirt Guarantee: Shirts guaranteed for those signing up by August 1.
• Online Registration: Ends 11:59 a.m. CDT on August 14, 2025.
• Entry Fees: Kids Fun Run: $10, 5K/10K: $30 (early), $35 (late). Family rates are also available.
• No Refunds: The race will occur rain or shine: no refunds will be provided.

• Raffle Tickets: Available for $1 each, with the raffle following the adult race.
• Packet Pickup: Pre-registered participants can pick up their packets on August 15 (6pm-7pm) and August 16 (6:45am-8:00am).
