🏅 Race Overview

• Event Description: The Haunted Halloween Half Marathon & 5km returns to Chicago's Lincoln Park at the Diversey Event Space.
• Costumes: Runners are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes for fun and prizes.
• Awards: Age group awards in ten-year categories: prize money for Costume Contest winners.
• Medals: Every HM & 5k finisher receives a H^3 medal to match their bib and shirt.

🍭 Post-Race Activities

• Refreshments: Enjoy autumn treats and Halloween candy after the race.
• Post Party: Celebrate with a free beer at Corcoran's Bar and Grill in Old Town.

🗺️ Course Details

• Course Route: The course goes through Lincoln Park and along Chicago's Lakefront Trail.
• Course Measurement: The course is accurately measured with every mile marked.
• Timing Splits: Timing splits on the HM course at 5km, 10km, and 10mi.
• Note: The 10km split has been moved to the TURNAROUND point at 6.55 miles.

🚗 Transportation & Parking

• Public Transport: Participants are encouraged to use public transportation.
• Driving: Parking available at the Chicago History Museum lot or along Cannon Drive.

• Tuesday 10/21: 2-7 PM at Xtra Mile Running (31 W Schaumburg Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60194)
• Thursday 10/23: 1-7 PM at Fleet Feet South Loop
• Sunday 10/26: 7:15-8:35 AM at Diversey Event Space
• Note: This event will sell out!

⏰ Race Day Schedule

• 7:15 AM: Packet Pickup and Gear Check open
• 7:45 AM: Costume Contest Judging at stage
• 8:05 AM: Costume Winners decided
• 8:30 AM: HALF MARATHON Start, followed by 5k Start at 8:45 AM

🏆 Awards

• Categories: Awards given in ten-year categories: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+
• Prize Money: 1st and 2nd in the Costume Contest win $100 each for individual & group.
