💡 Purpose of the Race

• Awareness: May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month.
• Funds: Raising critical funds to support DIPG and pediatric cancer families.
• Challenge: Take on the $10 from 10 Friends challenge!
• Impact: Together, we can make a difference.

🏃‍♀️ About the Race

• Name: Gabriella’s 5k Cupcake Run.
• Inspiration: Named after Gabriella Elise Torres, who battled DIPG.
• Pioneer: First 5k dedicated to raising awareness for DIPG in San Antonio.
• Community: Family-friendly event for all ages, especially kids 0-14.

💲 Entry Fees

• In-person Event: $25 through March 31, $30 through May 14, $35 late registration (May 15-17).
• Kids Fee: $20 for ages 0-14.
• Virtual Runner: $30 (medal only) through April 21.
• Packet: Mailed after the run: must register for the event.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Location: iRun Store Bitters Location on May 15: other locations include Children's Cancer Support Center on May 16.
• Race Day: Packet pick-up starts at 6:30 AM on May 17.
• Note: Packets not picked up on race day will NOT be mailed.
• Refunds: No refunds for cancellation or inability to attend.

📅 Race Day Schedule

• 7:55 AM: Welcome and introduction of Emcee.
• 8:00 AM: Pre-Race Program starts.
• 8:30 AM: Race starts.
• Note: Event goes on rain or shine unless weather is unsafe.

🏅 Awards and Recognition

• Overall Prizes: $150, $75, and $25 iRun gift cards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers.
• Age Group Awards: Recognition for various age groups.
• Chip Timing: Required to be eligible for awards.
• USATF Sanction: This race is officially sanctioned by USATF.
