Gabriella's 5K Cupcake Run

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

• Foundation: Gabriella’s Smile Foundation is hosting their Seventh Annual 5k Cupcake Run presented by Community First Health Plans.
• Date: The race will take place on May 17, 2025.
• Location: 17630 Lookout Rd, Selma, TX.
• Who Can Join: Family friendly event for everyone: kids ages 0-14 can register as official participants.

🎗️ Purpose of the Event

• Awareness: May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month and we are raising critical funds to provide support for DIPG and pediatric cancer families.
• Fundraising Challenge: Take on the $10 from 10 Friends challenge—boost your donations by inviting 10 friends to donate $10 each.
• Impact: Every dollar counts, every share spreads hope, and every act of kindness saves lives.
• Support: All donations will benefit Gabriella's Smile Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in San Antonio.

🏅 Race Details

• About Gabriella: Named after Gabriella Elise Torres, who battled Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a terminal form of brain cancer.
• First of Its Kind: This is the first 5k in San Antonio dedicated exclusively to raising awareness for DIPG and pediatric brain cancer.
• Entry Fees: In-person: $25 through March 31, $30 through May 14, $35 late registration May 15-17. Kids 0-14: $20.
• Virtual Runner: $30 for adults, $20 for kids, with packet mailed the week after the run.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Date & Location: Thursday, May 15 at iRun Store, 2602 NW Loop 1604 Bldg 1 Suite 106, San Antonio, TX from 11 AM-7 PM.
• Friday, May 16: At the Children’s Cancer Support Center, 477 Spencer Lane, San Antonio, TX from 10 AM-4 PM.
• Race Day: Packets will be available for pick-up starting at 6:30 AM before the race.
• Important: Packets not picked up by race day will NOT be mailed out. No refunds available.

🏁 Race Day Schedule

• 7:55 AM: Welcome on behalf of GSF. Introduce Emcee.
• 8:00 AM: Pre-Race Program starts.
• 8:30 AM: Race starts.
• Special Note: Chip timing is required to be eligible for awards. No duplicate awards will be given.

🏆 Awards

• Overall Winners: $150 iRun Gift for 1st Place Overall Male and Female Finisher.
• 2nd Place Awards: $75 iRun Gift Card for 2nd Place Overall Male and Female Finisher.
• 3rd Place Awards: $25 iRun Gift Card for 3rd Place Overall Male and Female Finisher.
• Age Group Recognition: Awards for first place male and female finishers in age groups from 1-70+.
