🏃♂️ Race Overview
The East Canyon Marathon has four distances: Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K.
📍 Course Details
The Full Marathon starts overlooking Salt Lake City at the Big Mountain Pass at the top of Emigration Canyon and heads East.
- Scenic Views: The course follows along pine trees, aspens, and several miles along the East Canyon Reservoir.
- Join Up: The Full Marathon joins the Half Marathon about 3/4 around East Canyon Reservoir, where the Half Marathons start.
- Red Rock Canyon: Runners head down Red Rock Canyon, featuring great views, landscapes, and unique rock formations.
- Farmland Transition: Around Mile 20, the course turns into farmland with beautiful fields of grain and cool barns.
🚶♀️ Shorter Distances
The 10K and 5K are out and back courses that start where all distances finish at the Morgan County Fairgrounds.
