🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Starting Point: Begins and ends by Riverside Park in downtown Salida.
• Course: Very scenic and mostly flat (around 160 feet of elevation gain) on city and county roads and pedestrian paths.
• Inclusivity: Designed for all runners, encouraging all ages and abilities.
• Post-Race: Packet pickup, drinks, snacks, and awards at Riverside Park.

🎆 Event Schedule

• Main Race Start: 10am, allowing participants to relax after Thanksgiving.
• Christmas Celebration: Lighting of Christmas Mountain starts post-race at 6pm.
• Festivities: Annual Christmas Mountain parade followed by fireworks.
• Community Focus: One of Salida's biggest and most celebratory nights each year.

🏆 Awards and Goals

• Objectives: Encourage health, fitness, community connection, and support the Chaffee County Community Foundation.
• Prize Money: Top 3 M/F overall ($150/$100/$75), first place M/F masters runner ($100).
• One Mile Run: Begins at approximately 10:05am, turning around after 1/2 mile.
• Race Timing: All competitors receive a participant ribbon and post-race snacks.
