Chocolate & Diamonds 5k for Ladies

💖 Race Overview

This one's for the girls! The Chocolate & Diamonds 5k for Ladies will be held in Russellville, Arkansas, on Saturday, May 3, 2025. While it will serve as the Runnersville Ladies Training Camp graduation event, registration is open to all females. We are excited that for many of our registrants, this will be their very first 5k.

🎶 Event Highlights

• Music: Fun music from Some DJ Named Robb.
• Chipped Timing: Accurate race timing for all participants.
• Swag: Race shirt, finisher's medal, and decadent Ghirardelli chocolate.
• Support: Supportive coaches on the route and a water station.

🏆 Awards & Categories

• Divisions: Top finisher and age group awards for Runnersville and Open divisions.
• Participation Rules: Walkers cannot run: runners can walk.
• Categories: Open to female participants.
• Age Groups: Awards available for both walkers and runners.

👶 Stroller and Accessibility

This is a stroller-friendly race. If you will be pushing a child in a stroller during the race, we ask that you line up on the right side of the starting chute and stay to the right until the racers begin to spread out.

🚫 Prohibited Items

Unauthorized walkers/runners ("bandits"), bicycles (other than official event-designated support cyclists), roller skates, skate boards, scooters, hoverboards and pets are not allowed on the race course with the exception of Coach Sophie, our Wonder Girl therapy dog.

📝 Registration Details

We encourage you to register by midnight on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, for the best pricing. Spots are limited. You can register online at this link. Paper registration forms are also available at the Runnersville Ladies Training Camp sessions, or you can request a printable registration form by emailing runnersvilleladies@gmail.com.

📍 Course Details

Our starting line is on West E Street in Russellville, near the intersection of North Glenwood Avenue (behind the UPS Store). The route heads east on West E Street, turns left onto North El Paso, left onto West L Street, right onto N Glenwood, right onto West R, right onto Coliseum Drive, cuts through campus via a wide sidewalk that leads to N El Paso, goes through two sets of arches by Baswell Hall, resumes onto N El Paso back to West E Street where it all began.

🚗 Parking Information

Parking areas are available along El Paso Ave, and more information will be provided about designated parking closer to race day. The parking lot at the UPS Store is reserved for UPS Store customers only.

💻 Virtual Option

Note that there is also a virtual option, but race packets will be only be mailed by request and at the expense of the race registrant. Virtual participants can complete the 5k between May 3 and May 25, 2025.

📦 Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be held at Feltners Athlete's Corner (2320 West Main in Russellville) from 3 to 6 pm on Thursday, May 1 and Friday, May 2. Participants from Russellville, Dardanelle, London, Dover, Pottsville, Atkins, and other nearby communities are asked to please pick up your packets at this time. To avoid long lines, race-day packet pickup is reserved for those traveling to the race from outside our area. Race-day packet pickup will be held in front of Nerf Blast at 407 N El Paso, which is near the race start/finish line.

🥣 Cereal Drive

In conjunction with the Chocolate & Diamonds 5k, we will be holding a cereal drive for River Valley Food 4 Kids (https://www.rivervalleyfood4kids.org/) to help alleviate hunger among children in our community. We invite you to drop off cereal, boxes of individually packaged oatmeal, and/or breakfast bars (granola bars, etc.) at packet pickup or on race morning.

💼 Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorship opportunities are available to support the Chocolate & Diamond 5k. Sponsorship levels are $250 to be a “Chocolate Sponsor” and $500 to be a “Diamond Sponsor.” To request a sponsorship form for this event, please email runnersvilleladies@gmail.com.
