Cavanal Killer 8k

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Organizer: The Poteau Chamber of Commerce will host the 18th annual Cavanal Killer 8k on May 10th.
• Course Description: It's a one way 5 mile trip to the top of the world's highest hill (elevation at the top: 1999 ft.).
• Post-Race: After finish and enjoying refreshments at the top, participants are shuttled back down to the start.
• Fitness Goal: This event is designed to promote fitness and inspire participants with the great accomplishment of getting to the top, whether it be by walking, jogging, or running.

📅 Event Details

• Registration Fee: $35 until April 25th (also the shirt deadline), $40 after April 25th.
• Start Location: Poteau Primary School - 407 Hughes Drive Poteau, OK 74953.
• Start Time: 9:00 am (Registration/Packet Pickup will open at 8:00 am).
• Packet Pickup: Packets can be picked up on Thursday, May 8th and Friday, May 9th at the Chamber of Commerce office from 9am to 5pm. 501 S Broadway St, Poteau, OK.

• Course Length: 8k Course (4.97 miles).
• Certification: This event will be run on a USATF certified course.

T-shirt 🎽 Information

• Shirt Eligibility: Provided to all participants who sign up by April 25th will receive a shirt.
• Availability: First come first serve for late sign ups.

🏅 Awards and Refreshments

• Finisher Medals: All finishers will receive a finisher's medal.
• Refreshment Stations: There are several aid stations on the course and fruit, water, and other snacks at the top.

⚠️ Cancellation Policy

• This event is non-refundable.
• You may switch your registration to someone else, but no refunds will be issued.
